NES Pages
- Nintendo Legend: This site is owned and maintained by a very friendly and professional gentleman who loves all things NES! His site is fairly new but is growing rapidly as his goal is to review ever single NES game in existence! If you love the NES, you simply must check out this site!
- Chameleon's Den: This site is a dream for anyone looking for hard-to-find video games. There are a lot of games for sale for "old school" systems like the NES and it is all set up very nicely. If you are searching for a particular game, check out this site first!
- Hardcore Gaming 101: This is the best video game review site that I've found so far. It used to contain only NES reviews but now there are reviews for other systems such as the Super NES and the Sega Genesis! I actually wrote a few reviews for this site a while back!
- TSR's NES Archive: Here is yet another great page for NES info! I like the sections talking about classic NES books, mags, and commercials (you can actually listen to some of them)! Very nostalgic!
Video Game Music Pages
- Soundtrack Central: If you are interested in buying video game soundtracks, keeping up with the latest releases, or just reading reviews of what other game music fans think, you will love this site!! It has helped me immensely!
- The Videogame Music Archive: This is The Greatest video game music Web site out there; bar none! With over 15,000 MIDIS and 9,000,000 hits, you can't go wrong here. Video game fans must visit this site pronto!
Specific Game Pages
- The Castlevania Dungeon: I have found the ultimate Castlevania site!! If you want to know anything about everything in this series, you've got to check this site out!
- The Contra Headquarters: This site was done by the creator of The Castlevania Dungeon. This guy sure had to have a lot of spare time to create a beautiful Web site like this! There are loads of images, music, and other related media from the classic Contra series here.
- Dusty Diamond's All Star Baseball Homepage: Finally! After a whole lot of searching and a little luck, I finally found a great Dusty Diamond website. This site has it all with player profiles, analysis of the various playing fields, and much, much more! If my review of this great game piqued your interest, this site will certainly hit the spot!
- The Mega Man Home Page: This was the very first Mega Man Web site on the Net and ironically, it remains the best one (IMO). Mandi Paugh created this fabulous site and even with the hundreds of other Blue Bomber sites out there, it is still the top dog. Lots of MM info here!
- The Ninja Gaiden Homepage: I was delighted when I stumbled onto this terrific site. It is dedicated to the Ninja Gaiden trilogy and contains so much info. Even if you're not familiar with the NG series, you should at least give this site a look.
- Rockman's World Delta: What separates this from the ordinary Mega Man site is the awesome music archive! Maelgrim can really compose music!
Sports Section:
My Favorite Teams
- MLB: Cincinnati Reds: I grew up a mere 45 minutes from Cincinnati so it should come as no surprise to you that I am a Reds fan. I went with my parents/grandparents to countless games at Riverfront/Cinergy Stadium (which was blown up a few years ago now...RIP). Those are some fond memories! 1990 was the year for Reds fans. Who would have thought that the underdog Reds would sweep the powerhouse A's in a mere four games? Hopefully, the Reds will shock the world once more sometime in the future.
- NCAA Basketball and Football: Ohio State Buckeyes: Buckeye fans have had to dwell on some plenty painful losses these past few years...particularly the BCS Championship games versus Florida and LSU. However, there is always the 2003 National Championship game in which Ohio State beat Miami 30-24 in an incredible double OT game! They are the 2003 National Champs baby!! I actually flew out from Arizona to Indiana a few days later and a ton of Ohio State fans were with me! We actually flew over the Fiesta Bowl which was really cool! The field looked just like it did during the game (end zones still had the team names). The Ohio State basketball program hasn't been as successful but their runs to the 2000 and 2007 Final Fours sure was thrilling!!
- NFL: Atlanta Falcons: First of all, I want to emphasize that I am not a bandwagon Falcons fan. I was a Falcons fan back when they wore red uniforms (1989 I think.) and grew up watching Deion Sanders and Andre Rison. For some reason, I just loved those red uniforms. However, I came to really like the team as well. They were never very good but the whole underdog thing made me become a fan. No one was more proud than myself when the Falcons shocked the world by going 14-2 and defeating the 49ers and Vikings in the 1998 playoffs to advance to Super Bowl XXXIII. Unfortunately, Atlanta lost to Denver 34-19 but that season was still magical. With the incredible Matt Ryan leading the team, the future of the Atlanta Falcons looks brighter than ever. If the new owner (Arther Blank) continues to put top-notch receivers around Ryan and continues to improve the defense, the Falcons may actually return to the Super Bowl and win it!! That's the hope anyway! :)
- NHL: Anaheim Mighty Ducks: One of my favorite sports movies growing up was "The Mighty Ducks." It was simply a great story of the ultimate underdogs shocking the world. The movie was hilarious as well. I guess that the movie was one reason why I became a Mighty Ducks fan. I think that they came into the NHL as an expansion team around 1993. I remember buying a really nice Mighty Ducks coat that fall and cheering the team on. Their magical 2003 NHL Playoff run was nothing short of amazing! The Ducks swept the defending champion Red Wings, beat the top-seeded Stars in six games, swept the Minnesota Wild in the Western Conference Finals, and gave New Jersey all they could handle in a fabulous seven game series. It was awesome seeing the Ducks come back in 2007 and win the Stanley Cup though! I can't tell you how happy and proud I was of the Ducks when they finally got to lift the Stanley Cup in front of the home fans. They have truly become one of the great teams in hockey. Who could have envisioned that?
Miscellaneous Section:
- Hot Wheels: I used to collect Hot Wheels vehicles, car sets, and other gadgets growing up. If you feel a bit nostalgic or know someone who collects Hot Wheels items, have them visit this site!
- Sports Spectrum Online: An impressive Web site by the editors of Sports Spectrum Magazine. If you've never heard of SS, this is a great way to get acclimated.
